ABOUT
I’m an Italian film director based in Düsseldorf, working between Germany and Italy.
I grew up in Terni, Umbria, in a working-class family. My father worked at the local steel mill and my mother was a tailor. That background shaped the way I look at people, work, communities and the places they belong to.
I studied filmmaking in Italy and later Documentary Production at York St John University in the UK, where I made my first documentary, Inshallah.
Since moving to Germany in 2017, I’ve worked across documentary, fiction, music and commissioned film, while continuing to develop my own independent projects.

WHY I MAKE FILMS
I’m particularly drawn to people and communities that exist slightly outside the expected paths of everyday life. What interests me is not only what happens to them, but how they understand themselves, their history and the world around them.
Whether I’m working in documentary or fiction, I try to begin from observation rather than explanation.
THE SYMBOL

The symbol I use is the alchemical sign for Earth.
It connects me to my family’s rural roots in Umbria and to an idea that has always resonated with my work: looking beneath the surface and bringing stories to light.
