Mirabilis

Mirabilis is a commissioned film for Banderari, created around a collection of self-tied bow ties inspired by sacred art, Italian craftsmanship and the hidden treasures of small Italian towns.

The film turns the discovery of the collection into a visual journey beneath the surface, drawing on the dramatic light of Caravaggio and the sense of wonder found in historic churches, museums and forgotten places.

Rather than presenting the objects as products, I wanted the film to treat them as artefacts waiting to be discovered.
